Lovely shades but unfortunately the patina on both I ordered has started flaking off after only a few weeks. I contacted the seller who, in his defence, was very helpful asking if I wanted to return them to redo the patina & laquer. Sadly having looked at the damage properly I realised the same thing would most likely happen again (from experience: laquering over rust can be a tricky buisness so was a little dubious when ordering them). I explained my concern & asked if I could have a partial refund; the price difference between these shades & the plain ones, & I would rub them back,redo the patina etc myself; knowing it will need to be redone periodically. Sadly due to demand the seller explained he'd sooner I returned so he could resell. So long story short, I now have some very over priced plain copper shades to reoxidise 🙈

Steve, went out of his way to assist me! My first lamp was beautiful (a piece of Art)! However, the ceiling Rose was too small to cover the electrical box. I had ordered a second lamp before I knew this. Once I found this out I informed Steve. He went right to work. He found a larger Rose for the second lamp and included another for the first lamp. These pieces are not just beautiful hanging lights. They are a custom piece of Art and a Conversation piece. Thank you Kathy

This is a piece of Art that so happens to light up. It is even better than the picture. It came in record time. I can’t wait to have it installed! Thank you Steve. 3/10 My electrician returned Today and here is where we ran into a problem. It was not until he was hanging it that we discovered the ceiling cap or Rose would not cover the standard US electrical box. It actually sat inside the box. Leaving the hole in the ceiling exposed all around the copper mount. The UK use a 4” cover. In the US our standard box is 4&1/2” which mean the US needs a 5” cover. The lamp is still beautiful! And I’m waiting to hear from Steve to see if I can purchase a larger cover for the one I have. And if he could make the ceiling cover on my second order 5”. If he can not do this I still love the Light and will find a way to use it.

Steve dispatched the goods on time and efficiently, unfortunately due to FedEx delivering the parcel to the wrong street there was a delay in receiving the parcel. Steve’s communications thorough the process of trying to find the parcel we’re exemplary. Sometimes it’s what you do when things go wrong is better measure than when things run smoothly. I can’t praise Steve enough for his help. The products were perfect, we even got extras to assist with the installation that we didn’t order and a complimentary table lamp due to the inconvenience caused by others. I will be shopping at Vintage Electrical again and again.

I love them both. They look great together. Light pretty minimal though so not much good on there own
